What is a content management system
Content management system (or CMS as it is often abbreviated) is a computer programme/application that allows the user to work to collaboratively create, edit, index, search, publish and archive a multitude of different kinds of digital media and electronic text.
They are frequently used to control and re-edit documents such as news articles, operator's manuals, technical manuals, guides and brochures. The content may be computer files, images, audio or video, documents or web pages.
