National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health is a UK examination board which sets the syllabuses and methods of assessment for vocational qualifications. It was founded in 1979 as an examining and awarding body with charitable status[1]. It provides certificates and diplomas in health, safety and environmental matters. It does not provide courses itself, but sets examinations and accredits other organizations who do the actual teaching. Courses are provided and examinations taken in 65 countries as well as the UK [2]. It is itself accredited by the Qualifications and Curriculum Authority of England.
